Dear Daniel,

This is the calm before the storm. Wednesday I motor off to Branson, MO for what could be the most profound week in my life.

Let me say something here. There are those who have allowed me to stand on their shoulders. Some who’ve now had controversy head their way. Locally I was welcomed to the table by Stephen Zimmer as writer. After some initial success I experienced some traumatic setbacks. And I’d be lying if the local scene didn’t glom on to the male directors in their near god-like worship of them.

But now it doesn’t matter and maybe, just maybe it never did. Where am I? Developing a TV Series version of Letters to Daniel, Producing and Co-Directing another feature based off my book the Guardian, and now have been tapped to direct another person’s movie with a 13 million dollar budget, truly, to everyone who stood in my way I thank you.

While I don’t believe hard things are meant to happen, I believe God loves us all and the Universe gives back what we put out into it.

I’m also shooting a short film in May and just released my 29th book. Working on my 34th and plan to start a fiction novel.

Did I mention I would be filming a proof of concept short at AOF? And filming 6 episodes of Recovery Unplugged including with one of the directors of the sitcom Friends? Thank you Lureen!!! And I’m developing a show to go with my self help book that I previously.

In Branson, MO Letters to Daniel is nominated in 5 categories. And I have two series business meetings.

My god, to all the people who have loved and supported me over the years thank you, I feel like I’m on the verge of having everything I ever wanted.

Sincerely,

Amy Leigh McCorkle
